I booked this trip because I thought we would have beautiful views of Sovereign hill as the name implies in actual fact the view for us was of someones back yard filled with junk. One whole wing of the apartments sees this view. When we tried to change there was no option and we were treated rudely. Also the pool was promoted as heated in any way, it was freezing. So you can take your chance and see what you get but I have stayed at apartments/hotels for years and this one was where I felt most ripped off.

We stayed in a studio apartment here whilst in Ballarat for a weekend. A previous reviewer indicated that the studio apartment were very small. I would agree but a lot was packed in including stove, oven, microwave, sink, refrigerator and a flat screen tv. You can easily self cater and not be required to dine out. Should you require more room they have apartments up to 4 bedrooms available.There is a pool and a game room for the children and under cover off street parking.

I marked the establishment down on sleep quality. The place is located in a quiet residential area but unfortunately I had some very noisy unconsiderate tennants next door who were very noisy up to 1:30am in the morning.There also appeared to be a domestic in one of the other apartments. Unfortunately not the hotels fault but I believe this type of tennant should be removed from the premises for the comfort of other guests.

Sovereign Hill Attraction can be seen from the verandah and a 5 minute drive away is the centre of the city.

Great apartment to stay at. Would recommend to families. Next to a bread delivery business, but didnt notice too much noise. Ask for apartment with view to Sovereign Hill. Would stay at again.

Checked in on New Years Eve and was greeted by the friendly person at reception. There were 8 of us staying in the 4 bedroom apartment and when we got to our room all of the rooms were as we had booked it (3 queens & 2 singles in the fourth room).

Given it's a self catering place, I think the fridge could've been bigger. We stayed 3 nights and only had food in there and it was completely full. The alcohol for 8 people was kept in our esky's, which we were very glad we had taken with us. The other small gripe about the kitchen was that it didn't have a dishwasher. There seemed to be a gap in the wall for one, but none existed. Not a huge issue, but worth knowing.

There were 2 bathrooms and the disabled one was great because it was large, but the shower didn't have much pressure and you couldn't get the temperature right. The other bathroom was better - but the shower was quite small, although the pressure was great and the temperature would stay stable the whole time, so no scolding or turing to ice in that one!

The pool was lovely, and we splashed around in it on the day it was hot, but it was quite small given the accommodation can hold over 100 people. It was lucky there weren't many guests or it could've got quite squashy there.

In saying all of that though, I would stay there again as it was clean and tidy and well set out. We definitely had plenty of room in the place, but did question the fact that for a 4 bedroom, 8 person accommodation, there was only a 6 seater dining table in there!!

If you are looking for something central, then this may not be the place for you, but it was only a short drive into the CBD and it is very close to Sovereign Hill if that is what you are doing there.
