Rooms are clean and quite decent. Main problem is the nightclub - it's about 200m away and really very loud, even on weeknights (it's a Wednesday as I right this and the noise is incredible). Be warned - if you stay, bring earplugs.

This is a relatively new place but will date quickly. The one bedroom apartments don't have an oven and only have a small flat screen TV. The biggest disappointment for the money was the standard of the room - furniture with stains on it and so on. Would be OK if you could get the room on a 'special', but the Quest is probably a better option.

We stayed here for two nights for our wedding anniversary as my husband was working away in Mackay, we stayed in the spa suite which was around $270 a night and included a breakfast. The first night we partied downstairs which was ok but the second night being a sunday we didn't but the nightclub still made noise until early hours of monday morning - we could hear all the street and club noise from our room as it overlooked the street. We were charged for an item from the Mini Bar which we did not touch at all, when I mentioned this after seeing it on credit card bill I was told that it would be refunded, it wasn't. Overall I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed here for the 3rd or 4th time in 4 years in September 2011 for 1 night on business. Accommodation was a 1 bedroom apartment - very spacious and functional and close to everything in the Mackay CBD. You could easily stay here for a week (as a single or couple) and could manage to self cater. I'd never noticed until this visit that the apartment had a front load washing machine. I'd highly recommended Mackay Grande Suites - though it is a little price! Saying that, it's simply Mackay in the grip of the mining boom all over!
