Service was ok. Room was tidy and neat, but had a lingering smell of damp. Roomwas close to road so could hear the traffic, but was not decernable. Restaurant was nice. Food was well cooked and decent.

We selected this motel for two reasons - Best Western so you generally know that the quality will be fine (and it was) and secondly it was close to the friends we were visting.

We had no complaints at all - the staff were friendly and the room was kept to a good standard for the three nights we stayed. Was somewhat surprised that the restaurant was closed over the Easter period although that did no worry us unduly.

Not really a resort.

A convenient stop on the Bruce Highway. New management took over here in December 2008. The rooms are a good size, recently updated I would say better than avereage. There is a small pool but as in so many cases no room to relax around it. The restaurant is good and you can eat outside overlooking the pool area. The beach area is about 2 miles away extensive and quiet but sea goes out a long way.

Stopped the night on a road trip north to Thala Lodge (excellent).

Just pulled in after driving the strip looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful to bunk down for the night. The Best Western met the requirements of being convenient, clean, decent value and having a room available.

Not flash, but it’s a motel on the highway - don't get fooled by the resort tag, there is a small pool which we presume qualifies it as such. We are not regular motel dwellers and suspect that this place is well up there when compared to what may be the norm.

Good option if arriving late and heading of early, there is even a restaurant open until around 9.

There are plenty of similar options on the same strip into Mackay.
