Stayed April 2011. Arrived to a rude receptionist who did not know what we were talking about because too lazy to look at the computer to confirm that even though we had not booked the room we were going to pay for it and that the people who had booked the room would not arrive for 2 days as they were on a cruise. When she finally deigned to look the answer was "Oh I see - but you should have made arrangements" I asked her to look at the whole sceen and she would see where the perseon booking had confirmed that we would pay and collect the keys. She said "oh - thats right". We had been standing there for 10 minutes but received no apology and for the rest of our stay she would not acknowledge us. When we finally got to the room we found that the toilet had apparently not been cleaned and there were hairs in the shower. There was also a musty smell to the room. I went to getour luggage and could not find a trolley anywhere and the receptionists answer to where they might be was a shrug and "They could be anywhere". Her suggestion was to go and find a shopping trolley and use that!!! This was the sixth visit to this establishment and between lifts not working, noise from the floor above and the fact that the apartment needed quite a few repairs to things coupled with the staffs attitude it was not that enjoyable.
As an adjunct - We decided to give them another chance and recently tried to book for later in 2012 but were quoted a different rate to the one I had noted the day before on the web site. When I asked why she said that they (meaning all the "Mint" properties operated like an airline. As periods filled up the price went up and up so any suckers who waited too long to book paid several hundred dollars more (for the same type of apartment ) than those who booked earlier. Needless to say we didn't book and will never stay there again.
