“A Comfortable Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We spent 5 nights recently at Quest Wollongong. Its location is very central, walking distance to the main strip of shops. We had a small view from 7th floor of the ocean around the other buildings in front of us, because its not right on the beach. Its not close enough to walk to the main beach (called North beach) where the lifeguard station is set up every day. We took the car. (5 mins). The apartments were clean and what we expected of a Quest. A few things needed a little maintenance; blind in lounge is broken and is very difficult to move up and down by hand, light didn't work in rangehood, or over the kitchen bench. The kitchen could be a little better equiped for actually cooking a meal, but we managed. We needed to ask for assistance with Internet, and we were promtly helped by a freindly staff member. The apartment itself was good size, and bathrooms were pretty good. overall, we were very comfortable for the stay, and happily recommend to other travellers.

Room Tip: request a high floor to get a view.

“Nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

We had a great stay at the Quest Wollongong, apartment was spacious and clean and very spacious. There were a few downfalls being the heavily stained coffee table, dark hallways and the coffee and tea was not restocked during our stay. I would however stay here again in the future.

“good position, large rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

Upon arrival the staff member was extremely friendly and welcoming and explained everything we needed to know about the hotel. Apartments have a full kitchen with dishwasher and bathrooms have full laundry facilities. Furniture in our room was severely stained with cup marks, the mirror had a sun drawn on it and had been lightly washed off. Certainly not 4.5 star standard, more likely 3.5-4. The bed was hard and seemed to be in a U-Shape. I've certainly stayed in nicer 4 star hotels that are $40-$70 cheaper than this hotel that had a comfy bed and clean furniture. Obviously with not much choice in Wollongong, Quest management must not regard this as an important asset and feel they can charge an exorbitant amount for average rooms.

“Worst Quest”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

Tired, shabby, grubby rooms. Furniture in terrible condition - especially the tables. Towels not replaced after several days. Soap etc. not replaced. Indifferent staff. No lighting in the hallways at night. Nowhere near the standard of other Quests Apartments. Never again!

Room Tip: Book the Medina.

“Disappointed, not to the standard of Quest Apartments”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

I was most disappointed in the property. Although it appeared to be clean and check-in was not perfect we did not realise that things were going to go so wrong. We have previously stayed at least 6 previous Quest Apartments and have never felt ripped off before. This was not what we expected.
We got out of the lift on our floor into semi darkness and groped our way to our apartment. On finding the light inside our apartment the first thing we see is that the furniture is badly damaged. The tables (everyone of them) had rings of mugs & glasses and the dining room table was all stained into the paint work. Light fittings were not working and there was no light over the sink.
I wished to cook a meal (the reason for paying for an apartment) to find that there was no saucepan. On ringing reception I was told that there should be one and to come down and get one. The saucepan was burnt on the bottom and I was told there were no others. I then returned to the apartment to scrub the saucepan for about 10 minutes so as I could use it.
My husband purchased a bottle of beer from reception to find no bottle opener in the room. He went back down to have his bottle opened (it was not a screw top) to be told that a bottle opener was a weapon so there are now no bottle openers in the room. We were to have a bottle of wine with our meal and discovered the glasses did not match. One red wine, one white wine glass, not much I know but it just altered the feel of the experience especially with the stained topped table glaring at us. We started comparing this with the luxury of other Quest Apartments we had stayed in like Castle Hill and Wagga Wagga.
I struggled to cook our meal with no light in the kitchen (that one did not work) there was one in the diing room so had some light.
Certainly will not return to this site again.........next time we stay in Wollongong.

Room Tip: Get as high as possible above street level
