I have stayed at Wallaby 8 or 9 times. It's an excellent way to cut my trip in half from Sydney to the Snowies. The Wallaby easily competes with all other hotels in Queenbyn (I've tried over 10) for both price and room quality. The rooms are clean, include a 2 seated couch, bigger bathroom and excellent bed. OK - you might find newer/flashier fittings elsewhere in Canberra however, you pay 2 or 3 times the cost. The best factor that keeps me coming back! It's quiet! Very little traffic noise unlike other hotels. It's definitely worth a look. I'll be coming back every time! Btw.. Pay the little extra for a deluxe room - it's well worth it!

Very quiet motel, friendly service and room was great, bed made every day and fresh towels provided every day, close to takeaways and restaurants. easy access to travel into canberra city, had an enjoyable stay and would stay in this motel again.

The older style exterior decor of this motel is very clean and well presented. The rooms are crisp and clean, beds good, and modern and ample appliances throughout. Large flat screen tv, microwave, electric kettle cutlery and crockery for light meal preparation is good. Well presented,highly recommend staying here.

We stopped over just for one night and had trouble finding a place to stay in and around Canberra as it was really busy. Enjoyed the short stay, rooms were clean and beds comfy. As most of the motels it looked a bit dated but had new TV, microwave and coffee/tea facilities. A nice surprise were the toiletries which I really liked - herbal shampoo and oatmeal sopa - and cookies were a nice touch with the coffee. Price was a bit high but as I said it seemed very busy everywhere. You could order breakfast and they also had a restaurant but didn't bother to use it. Lots of shopping and dining options in walking distance and Canberra is a 15 mins drive.
