My wife and I stayed in this Hotel and adjoining Caravan Park, 26 years ago as a stop over of our honeymoon on the way to Coffs Harbour and enjoyed ourselved immensely. It is right on the Hastings River. The Hotel also has a jetty where boats can tie up if needed. We stayed because we needed a break from the maddening city life of Sydney.
Now a days this hotel was bought by a Trade Union for its members, but one can get a room if booked. My wife and I stayed here again in September 2010. The self contained rooms hadn't changed all that much, but there was some work done on the grounds, with a wall and landscaping completed and one can now fish with ease from the bank of the river. All in all a relaxing time was had.
