When I booked this place, I expected a much flashier and upmarket experience. Instead, it was really more average with more being spent on marketing. The property is a collection of building spread over what seems to be an old industrial area. Everything seemed small and squashed. In general, it felt like someone was cutting corners and trying to pack people into small spaces. There were not enough parking spots near our room. The staff was friendly but also seemed to be a bit disconnected with how the property really was being experienced.
One classic memory is the laundry service being provided out of a small hollow area of a shed with a roller door. There was no reason for the laundry facilities to be so restricted. The pool was also small with very few places for seating around it.
The room itself was comfortable. Things did seem small compared to other hotels on the trip but it was okay.
When I checked in I told my wife that this was not what I expected. Since she did not know about what had been promised she did not mind. Because I knew of the differences it bothered me and affected my stay there. Overall I felt that we had payed for luxury but only got average.
