This motel is only a very short walk away from town centre (3mins)! The room is big, but the things inside the room are old.

We were most impressed with the room we were allocated in this motel. It was recently refurbished, spacious, well equipt, clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money and we would highly recommend it. It is close to the front, however not overlooking the lake but ideal for exploring Milford Sound and Lake Te Anau. The town of Te Anau was quiet and had all the ammenities we needed.

I had a good stay. I got the executive suite all to myself and had much more room than I needed. The room was clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. Internet is charged but unmetered - which rare for a NZ hotel I think. The hotel is just a little distance away from downtown (walkable if you are inclined) but far enough to be quiet at night. Staff was friendly. The price was a little higher than I thought but it is a tourst town and everything seemed more expensive.

I would stay there again.

We spent 2 nights in Te Anau and were quite satisfied with our accomodation at Comfort Inn..the only real negative was the attitude of the receptionist who grumbled on about computer problems rather than offer us a warm welcome..we arrived a little earlier than normal check in time and were told in no uncertain terms that our room was NOT ready..an enquiry about available toilets in town was met by a stern direction to the user-pay facilities when free toilets were available a short walk from the motel..come on lady..if you're not happy in your job I'm sure someone else with a personality would love to swap places!!!!!!!!!!!!!
