Peter and Annette were awesome hosts - and Paris (their dog) was so gentle! If you're in Te Anau, make sure you stay here - the town center is just a 5 minute drive and the views are breathtaking.

Absolutely beautiful part of the world. Annette and Peter run a sparkling clean establishment with a breathtaking view of the lake (plus mountains, plus snow, plus beautiful countryside).

We stayed at Blue Thistle Cottages for 3 nights during our 12 day trip to New Zealand and it was by far the nicest and most accommodating.

Peter and Annette were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. Annette even called us on our second day to ask us how our trips had gone which I thought was very nice. The cottage had everything you could need and super fast (free) internet connection which was a bonus. We didn't eat out once during our stay because we enjoyed the cottage so much. Paris (the dog) was also another highlight! - Highly recommend!

Found Blue Thistle Cottages on Tripadvisor, so grateful to have stayed there two nights in October. Peter & Annette lovely hosts & great companu as well as Paris the dog. Our cottage was beautiful, comfy & warm. Bed very comfortable. . Kitchen spacious only managed breakfasts as went into Te Anau each evening for dinner, so many wonderful places to choose from. Only a 5 mins drive in.

Our little coach to Milford Sound picked us up at our door & same on return, all passengers exclaimed at view. Had been raining & snowing but a wonderful view still. Loved our stay there, thank you Annette & Peter.
