I think the family who own this motel is quite friendly. The little nice girl showed us around to the motel room which provide a jar of chilled water in the fridge beside one little box of milk. Milk is normal complimentary in New Zealand Motel.

I like this motel because the furnitures are well located and they decorate area with nice flower plants. The location is great which I agree with the previous review.

Facilities are great. For those who love to watch television would love this motel. I live in double room suite which has one tv in the living room, one in each of the 2 bed rooms. You can browse more than 3 channels.

I recommend those who plan to go to Milford Sound to stay here rather than has a long drive from Queenstown. Also, you may start your South Island trip from Te Anau by flying anywhere, your country or North Island to here. You could save a day of travel by doing so.

This was a cheap out of season stay (only £35 per night). Our unit was clean and warm although the decor was a bit uninspiring. You are only a couple of minutes from the lake shore and about a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. The host was very friendly and helpful. A good place to stay if you want somewhere cheap but comfortable. The electric blanket was very welcome on the cold nights.
