We go skiiing in Queenstown every year with our three kids (4-9) and are from NZ. We know what to expect for our money in NZ and unfortunately a great location, view and apartment layout were spoiled by the service and approach of the mgrs. Problems started from trying to enter the apartment as the front door sticks and locking and unlocking it was a major problem. The upstairs toilet door was the same and our kids were scared to shut the door incase they got stuck inside.
The apartments are advertised as "serviced" however after two days of nothing we called the managers to find out that this meant only the beds were to be made and towels changed (even this had not happened for the first two days). When we asked about the spa that was advertised on the website and brochures in the apartment we were told it had broken 2 years before. We had to ask twice before the mgrs would give us the remote for the garage as they were worried we would lose it (we basically had to insist on it). There were literally no hangers in any of the bedrooms and again we had to insist before some were found. The advertised drying room was a cupboard in the garage with no heat and so no use for wet ski gear. We did not expect 5 star luxury but we did expect what was advertised on the website and we did not expect that we would have to continually call up mgt and make a stand to get it. Even after we pointed out the misadvertising re the spa we note that a month later it is still advertised on the website.
