Great location and friendly staff at this hostel. Rooms are good but it is pretty difficult to get any sleep connected to a bar and with thrill seekers roaming the hallways. All in all, Good value for money.

Overall really happy with our 2 nights stay here. The only downsides were that our fridge was smelly and needed a good clean, we had to spend half an hour trying to get towels, and the fan in the bathroom didn't work very well and the bathroom got very steamy.

I travelled about New Zealand staying mostly in Base hostels, and I found that this one was of a very high quality. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, even at 6am. The reception is manned 24 hours a day, something which I find to be a very good thing!
The rooms are the standard hostel fare, with 4 double bunks in a room and underbed storage with the option of adding a padlock, and each room of 8 people has its own bathroom.
I really recommend this hostel - it's so close to the lake, and all the main attractions in Queenstown :)
