When I got into the room, me and my wife didn't believe in what we were seeing. SUPERB hotel, and the BEST SERVICE we had in an Hotel I have ever had, from the breakfast, to the wine lessons, to the tips of places to go and how to do it. You can feel at home in this hotel.
Besides to hotel is great, the staff make it memorable.

Best hotel experience we have ever had. We've stayed at The Spire twice and tried for a third time last May but they were fully booked :-( so we booked a suite at the Sofitel which absolutely did not compare.
Its pricey but the attention to detail, rooms, flat out luxury makes it worth it. Even Huka Lodge wasn't this perfect.
We were picked up from the airport, no check-in required, shown our amazing amazing room and when we felt hungry, the staff went out and got us Fergs Burgers! And in the morning when I felt like porridge, they brought it to me in bed even though it wasn't on the menu. For us, who were away for our wedding anniversary and had two small children at home, this was the best rest we've had. We did not want to leave the room. The room is so well stocked with books and magazines and you can help yourself to DVDs from their library in reception (which is more like a gorgeous lounge) all that's left to do is pull up the chaise in front of the gas fireplace and chillax. Its simply stunning! And so are the mainly french staff that are so unbelievably accommodating ;-)
It is down an alleyway which can get fairly noisy late into the night over weekends but the double glazing helps.

This was our second time at the Spire. We originally went for our honeymoon in 2008 and we loved it so much we returned for our one year anniversary. It was even better the second time which we thought could not be possible! Returning to the Spire felt like coming home to visit old friends. It is still the best hotel we have ever stayed in

Nestled right in the heart of Queenstown, you feel special and taken care of from moment you walk through the door. The staff is very warm and personal and they make sure every part of your experience is made easier and more rewarding. The rooms are phenomenal, the layout is intuitive from fireplaces to recliners to a pillow menu to comfy decks to windows connecting tub and bath to bedroom. It was the best hotel we stayed at on 3 week trip to NZ. There is no dinner restaurant, although breakfast is available off lobby. Instead, they allow guests to order off menus from better restaurants around queenstown and they go and pick it up and deliver room service style.

Perfect place.
