We spent 3 nights at Bellini's. The weather was glorious so we enjoyed the beautiful gardens and lawns which spread around our suite. The place is really charming with great character, and our room was very sumptiously outfitted. There was a cold snap came through on the last night there and they lit up the big stone fireplace for the guests, which was very cosy.
I read one review where someone said the breakfast wasn't much and couldn't believe this could be the same place. Lovely food, nicely done : my recommendations are the Eggs Benedict, or the NZ smoked salmon with scrambled eggs.
The people running it were very helpful and friendly. They were really hooked into what is happening locally so the advice was very good. Particularly pleased with their recommendation of an "out of the way" place called Lake Moke, where we had a solitary picnic in the wilderness with not another soul in sight. Just great!
