Beautiful apartment, with high quality furniture and drapes in lounge and bedroom; swish modern kitchen with all mod cons; washer/dryer; super bathroom and a lovely balcony overlooking the lake. We stayed at this motel on days 20 & 21 of our 25 day tour of N.Z. Many of the motels we have stayed in have been excellent but this was most certainly the best. We had a 1 bedroom apartment & it had all we required including its own washer/dryer & full cooking facilities.We had a nice little area outside to sit and eat/drink as well as having a large dining table in the apartment. The seperate bedroom was large & very comfortable. It was a pleasant walk down by the lake & through the park into Queenstown cente.If we ever get back to N.Z. This motel will be on our list of must stay places.

This was the second lot of accommodation we stayed at in Queenstown. The location was great only an 8 min walk into the town centre, which made it great for our first time. The room, though spacious, was incredibly hot with no air conditioning and during the summer it gets quite hot i Queenstown, we had to ask reception for a fan. We had a room right on the main street which was a little noisy, but not too bad. Overall, value for money was ok.

Eighth and last accommodation we stayed in during our trip to South Island. Prepaid NZD385 for 2 nights inclusive of breakfast in a Luxury 2-Bedroom Apartment (balcony) + 2 bottles of wine. We arrived at about 10.30am on 9 Dec 2011 from Glenorchy and Reception staff was nice enough to let us check-in at 12.30pm to freshen up as we had to return the rental car and go white-water rafting at 1pm. Luxury 2-bedroom apartment is as mentioned in their website. Apartment no. 214 was extremely spacious, clean and well-furnished. Furnishing was quite new. To have a washing machine and dryer in the apartment was very convenient. Only gripe we had was that the entire apartment got very hot and stuffy when the afternoon sun shone right in to the living/dining/kitchen area. There were no blinds/curtains for the top front glass windows. During our 2 nights’ stay, we left some windows opened, left the front glass sliding doors opened with curtains closed till we went to bed and did not switch on the room heaters. We had to use the table fan provided in the bedroom upstairs as this room did not “cool down” as quickly as downstairs did.

On 10 Dec, we enjoyed the continental breakfast of toast, cereals, croissants, juices, fresh fruits, coffee/tea at the small, cosy restaurant just next to Reception. The next day, we asked for a slightly later check-out time as the Super Shuttle service was scheduled to send us to the airport at 12noon. Reception staff, Katie, was kind enough to check, and we were able to wait in the apartment and check-out at 11.30am.

We would have enjoyed our stay in the apartment more if the afternoon sun's heat was not trapped inside the apartment, especially in the evenings when we returned after the day's activities.
