A cross between a back-packers and a budget-priced hotel. I am 44, female and very familiar with Queenstown and the accommodations there.
I stayed in the motel part. It is a bit old and needs some restoration but it is very clean and the managers, Mark and Denise , make you feel right at home. The place has a communal kitchen, lounge, TV, skiing/tours can be organised and the best thing is the location. Right on the lake-front with fantastic views of the mountains and 10 mins.
walk to town. My 3-week stay was a home-from-home and I will go back there next time. Great!
