“simple, do not expect what you pay for”

you will need a car to drive into the city or a bus. otherwise it will be a good 20-25 min walk into town.
The one bedroom which I stayed was simple, neat, nothing more, nothing less. I thought it was expensive to what you would normally get around Queenstown. The room I stayed will be very cold in the winter, so be prepared.

“Spacious with great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

Stayed in a three bedroom two bathroom apartment with my husband and three teenagers. Spacious. So much room to spread out in which is great with a grown up family. Amazing views of lake Wakatipu and surrounding mountains. Quiet. (ahhh!) Self contained with everything we needed including laundry. Noticed that the electrical cord was missing from the electric frying pan at 7pm one night (outside of office hours), rang the number given and was promptly supplied with a replacement frying pan. Great bathrooms.
Driveway is steep but part of the adventure. Large garage, could have fit two cars if we were staying with two families or couples. Bus available on Frankton Road - only a short stroll to the bus stop. Fabulous walk around the lake to Queenstown gardens and then on to Queenstown. I wished I'd a bicycle to take full advantage of the lake shore. Perhaps hired bicycles is something the management could think about??
No problems - would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for help to find the path down to the lake as it was a bit confusing to find at first.

“Nice stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

We have stayed there 1 night in studio apartment.
It consisted of seperate living/kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom. Plently of space inside.Place was very big and clean. the kitchen equipment was on site (fridge, plates, forks, knifes, microwave etc). Heating was working very well. Furniture inside are in old country style and not brand new but all is fine and well maintained.
Our room was in first line from the like on the ground floor. We had lake view from our room and could enjoy to sun set.
The only problem was with the access if you have a big car - we had Toyota Land Cruiser so we had to be very carefull when driving around as the roads/paths are very narrow.
Overall Perfect place for short or even longer stay. However if you don't have a car it might be a problem as it's not that close to the main center. YOu will need to walk approx 20-30 min.

“Needs upgrading and TLC”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2011

This place has great views across Lake Wakitipu and the Remarkables. It is a 20-25 minutes walk into town, otherwise about a 5-10 minute drive. The no. 11 (yellow) bus is another option on Frankton Road. Reception is open 9-5, but there is a resident manager onsite.

When you enter the property there is a sign that says "luxury apartments" - these may have been luxury apartments when they first opened but they are starting to show signs of wear and tear. The apartment I stayed in was nice enough and had cable TV with 50 channels. However the appliances were dated (and a bit smelly e.g dishwasher), carpet was worn in stairwells, light globes needed replacement and some basic utensils like a chopping board were missing. There was mould in the shower recess and some mirrors were not clean. The balcony was tiny and I did not feel safe on it. There was no internet access. Apartments are not serviced so you need to empty bins etc and keep place clean yourself. There is no restaurant on the premises. The apartments in the complex are staggered on a hillside. The roads leading to the apartments are very steep. Reception is located half way down the complex and not at the entrance which seemed strange. Walking up and down roads is perilous. There is no path with steps and railing, just the road, so in winter if the road surface freezes over if it's wet, it's quite slippery and dangerous.

I probably wouldn't stay here again unless some improvements were made. There are better properties to stay at offering the same views but better quality apartments and service.

“Nice apartment but way out of town.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

We stayed here as a family of four in August. We had a hire car whch was very handy as there is no way we could've walked into town. Also having roof racks on the car meant we couldn't get into our allocated carpark which meant leaving it out overnight to frost up and have the windows covered in ice in the mornings. Found the reception helpful enough but they are only there during certain hours. They were not there on Saturday morning when we left even though it was during opening hours. We left the keys in the room and left. Found the accommodation nice enough, the heater in the childrens room didn't work without rattling, no way you could use it. Yes the walls are very thin, could hear the man next door snort and snore all night - not pleasant. The views are magnificent though, and laying in bed looking at the mountain covered in snow was wonderful. Very steep hill into the accommodation and quite trecherous getting in and out of the carpark. Not sure we would stay there again only because it's so far out of town for us.
