“Just lovely!”

Stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a lakeview. Just breathtaking! This hotel is definately a splurge option though and well worth it. We were escorted to our room, bags delivered straight after and welcomed by the concierge. All tours can be booked through the hotel and they are more than happy to make recommendations.
We had the full buffet breakfast daily which is one of the better hotel breakfasts I have had. Had no problems with the noise from the restaurant even though we were underneath.
It is only a short five minute walk into town - uphill on the way back but not too demanding.
Would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

“Great base to explore Queenstown but a few niggles”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed for four nights here over Christmas 2011 and it was well placed a short walk out of town so away from the noise. The views over the lake were wonderful and the room was large and the bed extremely comfortable. The staff were great and very attentive although we found the bar staff rather disinterested in customers, every time they served you they seemed not to recognise you even though there were only half a dozen people in the bar. The hotel is plush and well presented but there were a few minor niggles - for a hotel of this grade, why was no free wifi provided beyond a meagre 30mins per day that took 29mins to connect and charging an extra $10 a day for use of the car park just seemed penny pinching and rather took the edge off the stay. That said, the valet parking team were exceptionally efficient and helpful and took time to help you plan your day and your route.Queenstown is great and there is far more to se and do than just extreme sports. Wish we could stay longer. Would certainly go back and recommend the St Moritz but please management, reconsider the petty charges?

Room Tip: Make sure you get a lake view room!

“Good but the steep uphill walk can be a pain...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Booked 2 rooms and was upgraded to 2 suites. Service can be outstanding, or average, depending on the staff. My son wanted a milkshake from the restaurant and although they don't really serve it, the barman went out of his way to see if the kitchen had some ice cream so he could make one. My son said it was the best milkshake EVER! Rooms were generally clean, although the carpet underneath the sofa bed was dusty & had a bit of rubbish from previous guests.Plates & utensils provided were taken away after cleaning and returned only after 3 calls over 2 days. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick. Concierge were very helpful and efficient. Hotel is located close to the centre but on a steep hill. If you are tired from a day's activities or travelling with an elderly or young child, the uphill walk can seem long and tiring.
