“Noisy and stuffy!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Having stayed here before which was pleasant booked one night as part of honeymoon. Hotel carpark did not appear busy however put in a room on 3rd floor at very end of waterfall block which is essentially right beside road. View of the bank of trees out back of hotel. No air-con so was unbearable, had to sleep with windows plus balcony doors open hence the noise from hideous road outside. Reception staff were lovely at check in. On check out when I explained that the room was unbearably hot was told we could have got a fan from reception. Bit late for that! Were glad we only stayed the one night. Ask to NOT be put in the waterfall block that faces the hill.!!

Room Tip: Ask to NOT be put in the waterfall block that faces the hill.!!

Thank you for your feedback following your recent stay at Heritage Queenstown. Please accept my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I was most concerned to learn of the problems you experienced during your stay, particularly with regard to the room you were allocated and the consequent noise disturbance. I am pleased to hear that the front desk staff were pleasant on arrival though I do apologise for any lack of immediate follow up on your voicing your concern on departure.

Once again, thank you for your feedback I do hope that we have an opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. This will allow us an opportunity to show you the level of service that we pride ourselves on and one would expect from Heritage Queenstown.

“Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Just back from a few nights at the Heritage. Its a little away from the main Queenstown street however they do have shuttle buses and its only a 10/15 min walk. Great hotel. Pool and gym area is brill! Very clean. Rooms were lovely - nice room service menu. It suited my budget as a solo traveller. Underground carparking. Missed the breakfasts there as nicer walking down to the town. Was in one of the rooms in the back - so quiet. Will defo come back and stay again. Queenstown is a great spot but bring your cheque book!!

Room Tip: apparently the lake view rooms are the best and of course the most expensive. If your a solo travell...

“Great hotel and views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We stayed for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon tour around the South Island. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated and had a wonderful view of the lake and mountains. It was very hot weather while we were there and the room did get rather warm - not sure the air conditioning was used to the heat. The breakfast was very good value. The pool was nice. The hotel is well located and a pleasant walk into Queenstwon centre whilst still being peaceful.

“Peace and Quiet in Queenstown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Stayed at the Heritage for 2 nights after reading reviews and was not disappointed. Originally booked a Forest View room but took advice and upgraded to a Lake View room which was much larger and brighter and had a small balcony. The bed was huge! Staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was great on the hot days we were there, even used the gym which although on the small side was perfectly adequate for a quick work out. We used the free bus once to go into the town centre but quite enjoyed the walk which really only took about 20 minutes along the lakeside. Would definately go back to the Heritage again.

Room Tip: Definately upgrade to a Lakeside room, well worth the extra

“A good place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

We stayed at the Heritage two times on our recent trip to NZ. It is a nice hotel up on the hill a short distance from downtown Queenstown, maybe about a 20 minute walk. We drove since it is up a rather long hill. The rooms were spacious and the common areas nice. It had a large restaurant that we utilized twice. The place could use a little updating of some of the facilities, but not bad. It was clean and comfortable. They had under ground parking and the staff was very helpful to us a number of times. We enjoyed the stay. It is a little removed from all the noise and clatter of downtown, and that's a good thing in my book.
