Super fast and friendly check in, and the heater in our room had been turned on in anticipation of our arrival. Park/Golf Course over the back and totally silent overnight for a great night's sleep. Stayed in a 2 bedroom unit with a good amount of room, and a covered carport. The complimentary laundry was a nice bonus, free washing machine, and a nominal $2 charge for a dryer load. Free dvd hire from reception, and other entertainment offers. An absolute gem for weary travellers, and would have been lovely to spend more time here.

I stayed at the Queens Park Motel in Invercargill after my partner broke his leg skiing in Queenstown and he was transferred to Invercargill for surgery.

It was a stressful time was eased through the wonderful hospitaitly and helpfulness of Mark and Maureen Gane who own the Queens Park Motel. For instance, when one of the "standard" service offers did not suit me, they said "OK" and talilored the service and charging arrangement to suit my partucular circumstances. Extra pillows for Steve's leg when he came out of hospital - no problem, or anything else I could think of was never too much trouble. They are lovely freindly people as well.

If you are thinking of staying in or near Invercargill in New Zealand South isalnd, please give Mark and Maureen a go. They won't disapoint you - I guarantee.

You will need to enter this one in your GPS, as you may not stumble across it, but its worth the effort. The facilties have everything I needed, a good and QUIET location not on any main roads and the owners were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The park next door is worth a walk through it - Stuart

Queens Park offers a refreshing break from character-less chain motels. Located right on the edge of the amazing Queens Park, it was great to stretch my legs after a long drive strolling through the gardens, museum and aviary. The hosts are warm and accommodating. A small DVD library provides a good selection of free entertainment. The room was basic but clean and had everything required. I loved the little balcony where I could soak up the lean autumn sun. Located in a quiet residential neighbourhood next to a primary school.
