This motel was very dated but we found it to be clean and the staff were friendly. The area the hotel was in was a little interesting with some run down houses and less than desirable characters living nearby. We went to the tavern down the road for dinner, which was good pub food for a good price. It was a 5 minute drive into dunedin from the motel. Good place to stay if you are not spending a lot of time in your room and just staying a night or two.

“Really good value”
Nothing to complain about here, especially given the price. Lovely people, clean comfortable accommodation. The pub on the corner gave a us a real blast of Kiwi culture!

“Very old motel but cleen.”
We were booked here through golden chain and found it to be on the main road. It is a old motel dated still in the 70s but clean. About 20min drive into Dunedin and tourist attractions.Bus at the door or 5min walk down the road.Okay for a short stay staff friendly.

“Oh dear !! find another one..”
We stayed here two nights because our travel agent had booked and paid, if not we would not have stayed, very run down rooms, stained and dirty chairs, peeling wallpaper, noisy heating, only one very thin doona on the bed, very disseminated all round.
