We stayed here as part of an Air NZ Mystery break. First impressions were not so good. The parking was definitely not what i would have expected from a 4.5 star hotel! Having to park your own car underground, and then walk up a steep ramp (with not a lot of room if there is a vehicle using it) then across the drive in the rain to get to reception - not something i have experienced before of a hotel with this rating. Then to be charged for this 'service' as well!
Reception staff were friendly and asked if we would like a news paper the next morning (which didn't arrive so had to go to reception to collect it) The room itself looked nice but a bit dated in places. Clean enough but dirty glasses in the minibar and the 'do not disturb' sign was grotty. I left this clearly on the bench dirty side up but the next day it had been returned to the door. Nice bed and bedroom furniture though.
The restaurant looked nice but we did not eat there as there was no price for the breakfast in the room information and after the parking charge we thought it would be very high.
