I have to be honest - I didn't want to book this place due to the Harry Potter theme it had going, but I'm pretty glad that I did.
I stayed in a 5 bed room shared room for 3 nights and loved my stay here. Firstly the bed was a single bed, which was pure luxury after a week in a fairly cramped bunk bed. Each bed has its own bedside lamp and cabinet space, and there was even a sofa in my room to relax on. The room was lovely with high ceilings and lots of character.
The kitchen was lovely as well - everything was nicely labelled and there was plenty of equipment to use. The dining room had a wood burner in it (which was a bit too hot for me, as I was coming down with a stuffy nose and cold at the time), and had some wooden stairs leading to a comfy reading area.
When I arrived, the lady checking me in was absolutely lovely. Gave me lots of ideas on where to visit, gave me a map and pointed out all the sights on it, lent me a bus timetable for my visit and gave me a quick tour of the place.
As most people have said, the major drawback to the place is the fairly large hill which it sits on. But a bit of exercise never hurt anyone, and I would still come back here, even knowing about the hill!
