We are currently travelling in New Zealand, and arrived into Christchurch just a few days ago. This hotel was the perfect choice for our first night. We arrived very late on a flight from Sydney, and the hotel had organized a pick-up for us at the airport (since it was well after regular hours for their shuttle operation.)
The hotel is very close to the airport - so we arrived, cleared customs, were met, and in bed within a very short period of time.
This hotel is clean, quiet, and comfortable, and handy to most car rental companies.

I would say booking would be essential. Christchurch is quite short of hotel space and will be for sometime to come.

We wanted to take advantage of my husband's holiday time off but were only able to get plane bookings that arrived in Christchurch on Christmas Day. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to find a play to stay that could accomodate us arriving on a public holiday, but this facility did a great job of making check-in easy even though the front desk was not manned. And they worked closely with me over email ahead of time to help me choose an internet plan that would enable us to Skype with family back in the USA. Easy walk from the airport, too! And the room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Clean, convenient, very friendly. We asked him where to buy a chilly bin, and he gave us one that had been left there. Great hospitality

Stayed at Airport Christchurch for one night before an early morning flight. Motel is very conveniently located, five minutes from the airport. Room was simply decorated and very clean with small kitchenette. Menus provided for a variety of restaurants in the area, many which deliver - quite helpful, particularly given how few restaurants we found re-opened downtown. Hosts were friendly and happy to answer our many questions at check-in.
