“Ok but VERY noisy.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Stayed here in july 2010. Nice room, comfy bed but VERY noisy. The pub area behind the building (Sol square) wasn't easy to sleep through.
Unfortunality I saw that they are closed now due to earthquake, but if open again, it is a good place for 1 night, in the centre, friendly staff and nice interior. But not more than 1 night or you'll be a zombie from lack of sleep.

“Good place to stay in Christchurch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

We stayed at Living Space for the last 2 nights of our stay in New Zealand and we had a wonderful time. All the attractions are in walking distance and there are some places to grab lunch and dinner around.
The room was very clean and had all the facilities you need for a short stay. It is on the smaller side compared to most of the places we had stayed but was very cozy.
The front desk women were very friendly and extremely helpful.

“Great for an overnight stay with all extra features and good price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 March 2011

Located in the CBD of Christchurch this hotel is excellent for an overnight stay as it was cheap but still had all the required amenities. My husband is close to 6ft tall and didn't get a good nights sleep as his feet were on a shelf and the fancy alarm didn't work for us.
Bar was good for late night snacks.

“Fine to crash out after a long flight but nothing more”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2011

VEry small rooms, either facing busy street, noisey pubs or a wall. It was fine for crashing out after our flight from the UK but I would not say there was anythign particularly good about it. It is pretty central, so thats handy but it does mean parking is tricky.

“Everything you need in a small space”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2011

We arrived on the last flight into Christchurch & expected some trouble getting checked in as it was almost midnight when we got to the Living Space.
We were met by a cheery woman who had everything all ready for us, which was great as we were very weary from travel, she even directed us to where to grab a bite to eat late at night as we hadnt eaten & provided a map for us.
Our room was great, (I was expecting a shared bathroom) & also a bathroom.
Yes the rooms are small but there is lots of storage so it doesnt look cluttered with bags, etc & there is also a full supply of tea, coffee, hot choc & also milk pods in the fridge.
Right across from our room was also a large kitchen with ovens & pots & pans. We also had access to a tv lounge / reading room on our floor.
We found the location great as SOL square was right behind us, with lots of eating places & live music. Yes we could hear some music from the clubs but I dont reckon it was bad enough to complain about. We really enjoyed out stay & would definitely use again when we coem back to Christchurch.
