We stayed 2 nights to recouperate after the long journey from the UK and the Classic Villas delivered a quiet and relaxing stay in a great location, minutes walk from the centre of town and on the edge of the park. Along with the rest of the Classic Villa, our room was spotless, light and well maintained. The host, Peter was friendly and helpful, if slightly aloof (perhaps a virtue?!) and served excellent breakfasts. The breakfast buffet reflected Peters meticulous service and included a good variety of fresh fruit, different breads, more savoury items, including some fairly unusual things - and on our last day local oysters, complete with ingredients to make yourself a bloody mary! We found the wifi and the guest PC to be helpful in planning the next parts of our trip.

All in all a great place. We'd go back.

We stayed here for two nights in out 3 week trip round NZ. It is in a lovely location on Worcester Boulevard, right next to the arts centre which is the old building of the UNiversity of Canterbury. It is right next to the botanical gardens and a short walk from Cathedral Square and the main streets. Good room, well furnished. Good breakfast aswell. The staff service and room rate are average, i.e. perfectly fine but nothing special.

This bed & breakfast is located near the botanical gardens, and walking distance to all the major attractions. The BB has free WIFI, and breakfast and the host (Peter) are wonderful. Free parking is available and would recommend renting a car to travel around the city. There is no gym but a YMCA is around the corner. The rooms are small but functional. There is no pool. Kids are not allowed. I would recommend this place for the location.

The Classic Villa is centrally located in Christchurch in the arts precient. It's actually quiet and a easy walk to most restaurants and CHCH central. In fact walk up the street and 1km is the Catherdal and city square.

Included in your tariff is breakfast from their communal kitchen (extra for cooked breakfast) which had fresh fruit, cereals and different varities of bread and cindiments.

Very clean and with refurbished rooms in the older section this B & B is just terrific.

Anna was great and Peter (Dad) can stay in Sydney as she is a great ambassador lol.

Location and value for money, you simply can't go past The Classic Villa.
