We stayed there after a long haul jouney. We met with friendly greeting and warm welcome. Room was clean and reasonable at the price we paid. We were happy with that and had a quiet night sleep. It's very close to the shopping mall and restautrants. It's a comfortable walk to the park and the centre of the city which I felt so sad to see it in that stage.

I am choosing this hotel since it has received a relatively good feedback provided by Tripadvisor.

But the fact is, I am rather disappointed with their service (Unfriendly and Rude )

Most of the peoples from New Zealand are nice, but definitely not this one ! I guess most they are not the local here. most of them look like Chinese. (Sad to admit that I am a Singaporean Chinese as well.)

Initially, we were all attracted by the reasonable price.


In the night, we realized that the light bulb in the bath room did not work. but we were too tired to inform the reception, therefore we just bear with this and forced to take shower with opened door to allow the light penetrate from our bed room. This does not sounds too bad for us.

we cant get a good sleep as the bed room skull keep on making noises. At last we cannot stand and called up the reception several times. No one in the reception picked up our calls. No choice we had to go down there and notice there is a chinese/korean type of lady there. We told her our problems and all she could gave us was the word " I don't know, I don't know " in a harsh manner.

For me, i wouldn't recommend to my friends to this hotel and it will be my very last options to stay whenever i go to christchurch.

Basically, you can get everything you need in this motel. Location is excellent which is close to Westfield Shopping Centre. 50MB free internet usage is good for me.
