We had a wonderful stay at Camelot. The owners, Brian and Penny, go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome. The motel is in a greatvlocation as well.

We needed a large four bedroom Motel unit that would accommodate our extended Family who came from Canada, and we wanted to all be together so that we could make the most of the time.
From the time of checking in till we left we had excellent service and must say that Penny and Brian could not have done more to make our stay a very pleasant one.
Many times you stay somewhere and something leaves you disappointed, however this time we cannot say that there was anything that we were disappointed about, all the staff did their utmost to leave everything clean and ready for another day, and even though there were young messy children, nothing was too much, never heard a complaint.
So this Motel has deserved praise from us and we will stay there again.

We arrived to 4 earthquakes on Dec. 23 and the owners treated us like family, inquiring after our well-being and offering us a room on the ground floor instead. The rooms were great with a separate kitchen and sitting area. Also super laundry facilities, a plus when you're traveling for extended periods of time. It was an easy walk to many shops and cafes, including Merivale Mall with its various shops and supermarket. They even had an agreement with several nearby restaurants to charge meals to your room or have take-out delivered as room service. Lots of little extras that added up to a great stay! Will definitely be back and recommend it to others.

Our family of 5 stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and we had an excellent stay. Penny and Brian couldn't have been more helpful. Great location with everything you need. Do go to Christchurch it is well worth it.
