“Wonderful view!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2010

Our stay at Omaka Heights was wonderful. We had an incredible view from our room where we would enjoy the sunset with a bottle of wine each night. Nancy and Robin are great hosts. It was such a comfortable and cozy place to stay- we felt like we were staying with family. It was also fun to learn about the alpacas..We would recommend this place to anyone.

“Wonderful views and alpacas too!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2010

A lovely B+B up on a marlborough hillside and overlooking the vineyards. The owners have a herd of alpacas and are a treasure trove of information on all things alpaca, as well as providing local advice about the best vineyards, places to eat, etc. A welcoming glass of wine and a cheese plate on arrival continued with a wonderful breakfast the following day. Our only regret is that we could only stay one night but we will return.

“The best place we stayed in NZ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2009

This is definitely a 5 star experience. The rating system won't allow me to select 'excellent' - maybe a bug in the system.

We were warmly welcomed by Robin and Nancy Taylor who readily provided all the necessary advice regarding restaurants and sightseeing.

Facilities here are superb with two very large bedrooms with a small living area with television, fridge, and sink and comfortable chairs.

Breakfasts were magnificent, cooked to order with choice of eggs poached, fird or scrambled.

An added attraction was the Alpacas which could be watched being handfed.

Definitely a place to come back to. The ensuite for the handicapped was much appreciated.

“The best B & B in Marlborough”

We were staying at Blenheim in the Marlborough region which is famous for the vineyards in the area. We found Omaka Heights on their great website. The website had very easy directions on how to find the property. It was a little out of Blenheim, right in the heartland of the wine district, which we loved. The B&B is situated on a hill with sensational views of the surrounding vineyards with a glorious mountain backdrop visible from our private deck adjoining our room. The property also has alpacas which the kids loved. The hosts, Robin & Nancy were fantastic and really helped us arrange our daily excursions. The room was well appointed (including a disabled capable bathroom in one of the rooms) and very comfortable. There was an excellent guerst lounge which was great for the kids to relax. This is the best B&B we have stayed in during our time in NZ and would strongly recommend it to anyone.
