I have just spent a few days at this most amazing accommodation. The Edwardian style villa and the hosts, Heidi and Werner Pluss, could not have been more welcoming. The breakfasts are delicious, the best scrambled or poached eggs amongst a comprehensive buffet. My room, the Venetian Suite, was most comfortable and spacious with a little veranda and access to the well tended gardens. Being in the famous Marlborough wine growing area, there are many Wineries to where you can join a tour and taste the different wines produced. There are other activities available, like golf, but I enjoyed the walk on a section of the Charlotte Track very much.

Sometimes a place that have style and elegance can have a "cold" atmosphere. The Peppertree has style and elegance that would beat most top European old style establishments. But it also has hosts that have warmth and grace. This creates an atmoshere that feels like home. And you are made to feeel at home. At least, the type of home most of us dream of having. Fabulous rooms, private gardens, drinks and food on the veranda, own produce and wine but most of all lovely, lovely people. We always book our NZ trips via DesigNZ on Travel. They told us us about this place and we are very grateful.

I cannot describe this wonderful place without mentioning Werner and Heidi, great hosts. Their gentle attention, their discrete presence, their attitude towards their guests are an example for many hotels and B&B's we ever stayed. Beside great hosts, they are nice people that we would have love to get better - and we will try to stay here again in the future for that reason.
The place is clean, quiet, well-accommodated, and the whole estate is well maintained - with love and eye for detail. Our room was looking out on the garden and a small pond, accessible via our private entrance in that garden.
The daily aperitif is, as it is in the better B&B's we stayed, a real moment of joy with other guests and Werner and Heidi.
If you are anywhere in the Marlborough area, adapt your plans so you can stay in this great place!

This is a wonderful property. Quiet and rural -- with attentive hosts, Heidi & Werner. Located just outside Blenheim. Many environmentally-friendly features. Delicious home-cooked breakfasts, as well as wonderful wine from their own vineyard. Very relaxing. Suites are comfortable. Was our base for visiting the Marlborough Wineries.
