Poor quality of studio apartments in a run down location away from the main part of the city. Rooms were small and very basic and the fixtures and fittings were very 'tired'. Fortunately, despite our stay including Xmas Day, we managed to stay out and about for the major part of our visit. The only bright spot to report was the excellent and friendly duty manager (who had given up his Xmas in Brisbane to cover for his colleague - top marks for commitment!).

I would recommend this hotel but it does depend on the room you're given. Our first night was pretty grim. We were happy with the room which was clean and compact without being cramped and exactly as it appears on the website with kitchenette, washing machine in the bathroom etc. However it was on the second floor overlooking the main street and directly opposite a carpark. I can usually sleep anywhere but the traffic noise was horrendous. When it eventually subsided at about 1am we then had to endure a loud buzzing noise from the fridge. Next day we requested another room and we given one on the 9th floor at the back which was similar to the previous room but perfectly quiet with an interesting urban view. So our next 2 nights in the hotel were very pleasant and as it is also very central I would definitely recommend it.

The hotel is within a few minutes walk of the main shopping area and the waterfront. Rooms a little basic but you had everything you needed, including a washing machine in the small shower room. For a couple of nights this was absolutely fine but perhaps not for a longer stay.

We booked a studio apartment, we were in the second floor, the room was a decent size but the dining is too small. Living area is composed of only 1 seat between the kitchen sink and dining that often gets wet when washing dishes. The view from the window is an office building where we can see people and they too can clearly see us on the other side.

There was a very small cabinet that would only fit the iron board and a few pieces of clothes. We couldn't find the airconditioning control, hence we figured out it was centralized airconditioning, the worst part is sometimes it gets really, really cold and in the middle of the night, we wake up sweating!!! Very uncomfortable to sleep!

The worst part of the room was the bathroom, my husband just totally hated it. We know it was designed to accommodate disabled guest, but what happened was water from shower was everywhere not draining properly they put some sort of rubber thing around the shower to stop water flowing all over the floor, but unfortunately that didn't work....water was all over the bathroom floor..in our 2 days stay, the floor was just flooded! No matter how much we try to push water to the drainage...this made us very uncomfortable, the bathroom stinks, the kitchen floor gets wet every time we use the toilet...very,very messy!
