Excellent location, this place was just what it promised. Lovely chrisp bed linen, quiet room, good facilities. No view and not large but handy to shops, CBD, university, cable car etc. would stay here again.

It's not value for money. We had a miserable time so decided to spend the last 3 days of our holiday next door at Travelodge which actually ended up cheaper with pay 2 nights and get the 3rd night free. Their usual rates aren't that much dearer and it's definitely value for money, even though the room was smaller. Wish we had spent the whole holiday there instead.

My wife and I got a great deal on this place - $99 per night, which was way lower than all the other places we could find in Wellington. The rooms were fine, the beds were not that comfortable but again - fine. Nothing special here...

The hotel is about 15 minutes walking to the places of interest. And no matter which direction you head you have to walk up a significant hill (or steps). The reviews about the loud garbage truck are accurate. It came early, but we had to get up anyway, but if we were trying to sleep in it would be VERY annoying.

We would stay here again if the prices at other places were outrageous, like they were when we visited.

Definitely great value for money, and right in the centre of town. Facilities were good, well serviced, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Only issue was access to the property after hours. Need to go through nearby properties to access Lambton Quay, or else climb the Plimmer Steps or take a lengthy detour. Probably would be more straightforward if we had stayed there longer, and got to know our way around.
