Was perfect, checked in at 9pm after a long drive from Hamilton, stayed the night and woke up at 5am to catch a flight. On business, but it really was perfect for everything I needed, including iron and ironing table for shirt. What more can I say, not over the top and not a cheap tacky hotel, I would consider staying here again with my wife if I was in Wellington again.

This is a convenient place to stay in the centre of Wellington, it's just above Lambton Quay (accessible via Plimmer Steps). Everything was new and clean, and since it's a serviced apartment you get a kitchenette and other extras that you don't normally get in a standard hotel. The staff were helpful, and nice enough to book me at the cheaper Internet rate rather than the standard full rate when I had to extend my stay by a few days.

Have stayed here before and will do so again.
Location for access to motorway and Lambton Quay is excellent.
Rooms are fine.
I think the best thing about this place is the Front Desk staff, very helpful and charming.

I have stayed at the Gilmer on a number of occasions and find the location great and the staff always friendly.
It's a good place to stay and would recommend it for short stays.
