“Wont be back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 May 2012 NEW

Got ok price for room but was small and furniture tired looking and there was a light bulb missing. Had old box like TV still. The bedspread had a large really noticeable stain near the top end and another at the bottom end. The toilet was nearly smack bang next to the wall so you could only sit straight up, weird and just seemed to be bad planning/layout. The shower had a plastic curtain. When brushing my teeth I noticed how grubby it was around the sink fittings. I have stayed here before under different owners and it seemed more welcoming then.

“Great location, excellent price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 May 2012 via mobile

Church bells on Sunday morning echo the name of the Trinity and are a joyous bonus. Rooms are clean and service is prompt and friendly. The art on the walls is not offensive or foreign -- another plus! On our second visit we are greeted like old friends. Well priced and excellent value for money

A tip: if staying on a Sat night , request a room at the rear unless you enjoy the sight and noise of students carousing in the early hours of the morning!

“Great location and fair price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 April 2012

At the beginning I chose to stay at this hotel because I presumed the car park facility it offered was for free. Turned out that they charge $50 for overnight parking! However the staff were very friendly and helpful and tipped us on how to find free on-the-street parking: across the Dixon street and opposite to Trinity Hotel's car park entrance, there is parking space good for approx. 4 vehicles. It allows 120 min of free parking and becomes completed free fr. 6pm to 8am, which means, you will get free parking from 4pm to 10am in the next morning! Trinity's check out time is 11am.
We stayed at a King Premium Room. The room layout and equipment are rather basic. Though it still gave certain comfort. Also the price is fairly attractive given the location of the hotel, which is in walking distance of major city attractions (e.g. cable car, Te Papa) and the harbor of course.

Thank you for your revuew. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. I would just like to clarify that our carparking is $15 per night not $50 and competitive to most of the hotels in the city. Unfortunately you must have misunderstood the pricing. My apologies for this. Our carparking is conveniently located on the first floor of the hotel underground and secure with elevator access to the lobby and hotel room floors. We hope to see you again at Trinity HOtel.

“Good basic hotel”

We went there on a deal and it was worth the money we paid. The food was good and the staff helpful. Would stay again.

“Great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 March 2012

This hotel offered clean, comfortable accommodation with great facilities. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. It was also so convenient to eat in their restaurant (it was pouring outside) and the coffee was terrific. It is right in the city and close to ATMs, shopping, restaurants, the museum etc.

Room Tip: We don't necessarily look for lots of space, and though our room was not spacious it was great v...
