We were in Wellington for only one night and wanted something cheap and central. We arrived at the serviced apartments at 11am 3 hours before usual check-in, but were given our room without having to wait around until 2pm. This was great so we could unpack and get on with our day.
I had pre-booked a room on a higher level of the building, as I had read previous reviews saying the views were better. We were given room 13B which looked over several apartment buildings across the road towards the tree covered hills. If we had been staying longer I would have asked to have a room on the other side of the building which looked out to Wellington Harbour, as our room was quite noisy due to a motorway a block away. The road noise was intrusive first thing in the morning.
Cost per night NZ$139.00 which was only $10.00 more than a room on a lower level.
The room was a studio, comfortable bed, small dining table, and kitchen with a 2 burner stove top, dishwasher, a washer / dryer combination machine in cupboard. The bathroom shower had great water pressure but need some repair work to the shower surround. The TV had all the local stations and one movie channel, plus you could see the relay from the camera at the apartment’s front door which was kind of interesting in a weird way.
It was an easy 10 minute walk down the hill to the main shopping on Lampton Quay, but a bit of a climb back up.
We would stay here again, but only if we could get a room on the harbour side of the building.
