If you are after student-like accommodation, dated, 70's decor, a corridor area that stinks of old onions, screaming children in the rooms surrounding, lifts that are INCREDIBLY dodgy.. Then this is the place!
Luckily we got a voucher and did not pay full price for this room, and even then I still felt ripped off.
We will definitely NOT be staying here again, would rather sleep on a mates couch,or in a camping ground somewhere than this place.
My partners legs now have a slight rash too.. Not 100% sure it's from the hotel, but wouldn't surprise me in the least.
Do yourself a favor.... Hire a room somewhere else!!

We grabbed a deal for Quest on Willis then read the reviews and went oh no. We requested a car park which was reserved for us, you really need it around here.The front of house staff were very welcoming and full of information. Our room was opposite the lift but we weren't disturbed by noise. the corridors are narrow but didn't smell until evening when people were cooking.After the house staff had been round in the morning it was all fresh again. The room is basic but comfortable, we had a good night sleep and it was peaceful. Buses routes are on each of the streets that the Quest is on the corner of. All up a good stay and we'd stay again.

I went to Quest on Willis with low expectations after reading the reviews left from October. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my room was tidy and comfortable, with a queen bed and couch and great cooking ammenities. The shower was great, good pressure.
The room was warm and quiet. The windows have recently been double glazed and they had thick curtains that blacked out the lights.
The building is currently undergoing structural rennovation and I was warned they starting drilling at 7am but it was 9.30am before it started and was only a little bit.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is located handy to Cuba Street. Small carpark was available, and I found space ample for turning.

Horrific Experience. Travelled to Wellington on a tour for the Rugby World Cup and was unfortunate enough to be put into this hotel along with some others from the tour group taking up 10 other rooms in total for 4 nights. Upon pulling up to the hotel we all assumed it was a joke, the street however proved to be a cleaner and nicer picture than what awaited us inside the rooms in the hotel itself. Rooms had a stench of Indian food, the noise from the pub below was continuous, rooms were dirty, small, and no other word for it - disgusting. One couple on the tour left that night (without notifying the hotel) and sought accomodation elsewhere as they could not bare to spend a night in such filthy accomodation, they went back the next day to collect the rest of their baggage from the hotel room and walked in on two people who had been resold their room. I have never stayed in a hotel of such bad standard, an award of 1 star would be too much. Others from the group were stationed in Quest on Wellington which I would highly recommend this hotel/apartment suites as an alternative.
