Stayed one night here in a one bedded studio. Friendly owner who was very helpful and rooms were fine. A little hot when we were there and the room had a large free standing fan. But roomy and clean and all you could really need. Altho on the main road we had a room furthest from the road and had no noise at all. Our only issue was the cost of internet connection. This is a member of the HOST group of accommodations and they all seem to have very expensive internet provision i.e $5 NZ per hour( and once you are connected your meter starts running) or $15 per day

Stayed here due to a cancellation as there was a event at Taupo and so glad we did stay here as we will be going back again. We got there late due to traffic and the room had been warmed up for us which was great as it was pretty cold. The owners were very friendly and recommended places to eat at etc The room was lovely and the veiw we had over the lake was lovely. Got some great sunset shots.

Great motel, only 10-15 minutes walk into the centre of Taupo. We had the back room, middle floor, so I can not speak for the other rooms. However ours was large and roomy, large bedroom and bathroom, fully equiped kitchen, lounge with a table and 2 chairs and also a very comfortable settee. Outside on the balcony we had a table and 2 chairs. No problem with any noise or disturbance and no traffic noise. The side view of the lake from the balcony was great. The motel realy is across the road from the lake.
Owner is a very happy and chatty man who will give you any advice about the area which you may need. Usual tea, coffee etc replaced daily

We found this motel after leaving a less than satisfactory 'luxury boutique' b & b after one night of noise. We had a two room suite with large bed, jacuzzi bath and plenty of equipment to be totally self sufficient if we had wanted to. The kitchen area was fully equipped and the whole place was very clean. The owners live on site and are friendly and helpful. They are also very selective about their guests, so no loud noisy parties! Its right opposite the best part of the beach and a 15 minute walk into town. We would not hesitate to recommend Bay Court, which was half the price of the much smarter, but much noisier B & B!
