When traveling, staying a motel can bring up a little concern. We couldn't have enjoyed the Sport of Kings Motel anymore. The rooms are like a suite. They have a bedroom and then a living room/kitchen area in the other room. Plus off the bedroom was a private spa just for us. Wow!! The pool was very nice after a long day of sightseeing. The owners were extremely accommodating and helpful with sightseeing recommendations in the area. I would definite stay here again and would tell anyone visiting Rotorua to so the same.

Lovely people! our hosts were very friendly and could not do enough for us - loved the spas and heated pool just heavenly, so good to relax after sightseeing in the thermal regions. Nicely decorated spacious, clean and modern, with comfortable beds. Our hosts were just so helpful gave us brochures, good directions , answered all our questions and are really great people just so accommodating. The spa's were in great condition, the heated pool beautiful and clean, altogether a very pleasant time was had. I have no hesitation in recommending Sport of Kings as well run, clean, quiet, with caring hosts who even do airport pickup! Very good value for money.

This year was something special from the moment we opened the door. The newly decorated unit evoked a wow from me and over the two days it just got better. The bedroom looked like it belonged in a magazine. Very elegant!

When we returned from our days outing the room was sparkling clean.

The temperature of the spa pool remained a constant hot temperature and the water was always clean. I was in and out of that spa pool like a jack in the box.

The garden enclosing the private swimming pool is surrounded with greenery. After walking around town and sight seeing it was easy to lose an hour in the pool.

We have tried other motels in the area and while each have their attraction, Sport of Kings hits all the buttons for us.

Keeping it real, I would have ranked my stay a big 5, but the soap container was empty and we had a wee problem with the door lock, which I must say the owner came quickly to remedy.

Seriously you should try this place, pay a bit more and get a unit with your own spa. You
will not regret it.

Great room, friendly people. Lovely pool, just the thing for cooling off in after a visit to the thermal parks. Great value.
