Booked two rooms for two nights . The rooms were clean. Hotel is very dated. Renovations are going on currently. Had no other place to stay in Rotorua as most of the other hotels were booked out. But for 90 bucks a night you can't really complain and especially in peak season. So it was excellent value for money. Can't really complain about anything as we got what we expected.

Friendly staff, the place is fairly outdated especially the rooms, There wasn't a whole lot on offer in terms of famalies staying here, we cam for 3 nights and during colder months and while the rooms were okay not a whole lot of space for kids to do any activities The pool however was heated which was great. For the price of breakfast there wasn't alot of selection, however was still yummy.

This hotel is a great place to stay! It is tired and run down as said by others who have stayed there, but it is very clean and the rooms are nice a spacious. the resturant has fantasic food at great prices and room service is brilliant. However, if you pay cash for your meals or drinks request a reciept and make sure you get one! we payed cash for all our meals and staff said we did not require a reciept, at the end of our stay we were wacked with a huge bill! fortunatly the matter was resolved after about 2 hours! this also happened to other people as they were checking out.
The hotel is about a half hour walk from the town centre, so I recommend you hire a car or use 'Gumpy's shuttle service' Grumpy is fantasic and will pick you up from the hotel and take you anywhere in rotorua for $5 each, each way. The hotel have his number.
The staff are brillaint and so hepfull, they booked all our day tours etc with no hassle. always friendly and very approachable.
We would stay here again for sure.

The furniture is older than my nana. The bed was so bouncy. Tv was all fuzzy and purple colour in the corners of the screen. Went to the gym. The basin wasnt clean. Wanted a drink of water from the dispenser and there was moss on the base of it. We decided to have a spa.went to reception for the key and told us we had to book. Nothing available for us.All this should have been told to us on arrival. Service was crap. Didnt even ask how our stay was on departure. Just aswell there is plenty of accommodation elsewhere.
