when i stayed here the place was filled with tour groups spending one night in rotorua, so busloads of people would overrun the place and checkout the next day.
the restaurant food was good. location is convenient to walks in town and along the thermal lakefront.
the room was fine but had dim lighting.
the indoor hotel pool was tiny and filled, but you can reseres a private sauna for 30 minutes.

What a shame that a little more time and money can't be spent doing up this place as the 2 bedroom suite we had was spacious but just didn't feel that clean. Not a place I felt I wanted to spend a lot time at and the pool area was tired looking. Lovely view and a fantastic breakfast and for what we paid was a great deal but not somewhere I'd want to spend more that a couple of nights at. Get rid of those disgusting yellow nets/curtains in the hallways they look dirty.

Fantastic location for exploring the local attractions. Rooms clean and well equipped and buffet breakfast was good too.

The room that we checked into was an absolute disgrace in terms of cleanliness, maintenance and quality of bedding.

- huge liquid mess on the back of the door which had not been cleaned up (I don't want to even think about what this substance was)
- filthy shabby bathroom with mouldy shower curtain and hair in bath/basin/toilet/floor
- pillowcase with big black stains
- filthy ancient pillows
- hair in the sheets
- blanket under bedspread had huge holes

I alerted reception to the problems and was moved to a room that was in better condition but even the common areas of this hotel are grimy and depressing. Would not recommend to anyone.
