Our family stayed here for 2 nights. This motel is slightly out of town and very family orientated. Booking was completed easily over the phone. Check in fast and efficient. 2 bedroom unit by the pool had everything we needed. The bottom family units aren't "wow" units but are very clean and have everything you needed.being right by the pool meant the kids could swim right in our view ( even though we were in there with them most the time). The games room was a total hit with the kids of all ages. Pool table, table tennis, pc, pin ball and of course swing ball ( pole tennis) outside. As for the management - well you won't find friendlier people. Jason and his partner are just brilliant and will go out of their way to help you with anything and to make your stay the best it can be. I would stay here again.

We arrived with some stunning views on our drive and it was made even nicer by the hotel. The rooms are what you need and clean, and what made it even nicer was the warm welcome and helpfulness of everybody. The area is amazing and should we come back to New Zealand we would return here thanks.

We stayed for 2 nights at Aloha. We had a spectacular view of the bay from our balcony: the sunrises over the water were breathtaking. Staff were quite pleasant. I only wish we had enough time to stay a little longer as we didn't get a chance to see the "hole in the rock" or have a swim in the very inviting swimming pool below our balcony.

I have to warn, booked the accomodation long before and was very dissapointed we booked a 2 bedroom appartment 2 couples and a medium sized dog. when we arrived the first thing we heard was oh that is a big dog (she is not even knee size so medium) than we couldn t get in our room because there were families staying and the dog couldn t be there. we should take a room no seaview as we booked and two singles instead to the same prize. We asked how comes that we can t get the room we booked and got the repy I didn t take the booking it was my partners mom i don t know why she booked you in the room.

very shocking we stayed in many places traveled whole new zealand with our dog. definitey this is not a pet friendy place as it says and you can t trust on bookings you made!

We ended up staying in paihia in the edgewater 5 star with our dog to the same price.

all in one a shooking experience how arrogant the owner was after many times confirming the booking!
