We went there to chill after being with family dashing around here there and everywhere. We were given a very warm welcome from John and Maureen. The accommodation was excellent couldn't fault it. Newspaper on the door step FOC everyday. It is a good base for all attractions. We were fully relaxed by the end of our stay. Would fully recommend it to anyone.

Booked in for 1 night. 3 adults, all of us single so not keen on sharing beds with each other. That was all good.
Checked in bang on 2pm as needed to drive North a bit to see a man about a dog. She tried to sell me a cruise at check in. Fair enough, up sell away, I'm not going to bite. She also tried to tell me that one night in Paihia wasn't enough. She is right there but some of us have jobs starting and are on limited time budgets.
THEN we got into the room and realised that we needed a key for the wireless. All good will get the password when we get back, "it should be open until 10 right?" WRONG!!! Office closes at 7! If you do stay here, which it's not a bad place just has weird office hours (esp considering that it was peak season and daylight savings!), make sure you get everything you need from the office before going out if you are not sure if you'll make it back for 7.
It really frustrated me because the whole reason I was in the North in the first place was study related requiring internet access hence my friends and I paid the price we did for the room!!!

This is a real gem! The hosts, John and Maureen, are lovely people - really helpful with suggestions of places to go etc. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly kept, milk in the fridge ready for a brew-up when you arrive. The beds are very comfortable. Plenty of car parking and easy walking distance to everything in town, but just away from the bustle of the town centre. Perfect!

There are lots of cockroaches in rooms, bathrooms and kitchenette of this beautiful motel! Parking space is good. Rooms are spacious with nice balcony. However, the management of this motel is rude and not welcoming. No matter if guest's reach late, management should understand that delay in checking In by guests happen for reasons, they should make there guests feel comfortable no matter if they reach late, the guests might be tired and feeling out of place in New Country after a long and hectic journey.
