My husband and I spent 2 nights midweek in this this motel and were very pleased with the spacious room and level of comfort it provided.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The only drawback being the noise of the main road, but earplugs, supplied by the motel soon
stopped this.
We would recommend The Albatross Motel to anybody who needs a place to stay.

Motel is in a very good locatin for shopping in the CBD, shopping or restaurants. Good access for wine cellar visiting in the area. Room was spacious and kitchen and bathroom were adequate. WiFi was free with no problems. We stayed for 2 nts from Feb 2-4, 2012.

The Albatross is great value for money, basic but everything you need. Yes, there is road noise but free ear plugs are offered and I personally didn't find I needed them.
The owners are extremely helpful, from the young girl who checked us in (presumably the daughter ?) and suggested we might like a pedestal fan as the unit was fairly hot, to the owner/manager who promptly fixed the bathroom window that wouldn't stay shut. Also, my booking request of a room away from the smokers' lounge, was met.

Staff were helpful and pleasant. Rooms were nice and clean. Simple but current decor (not dated 90's like many). Very happy to accomodate our 2 year old in a portacot and even made sure the room we got had slightly more space.
Overall a very pleasant stay, would definetly stay again.
