Staff were helpful and pleasant. Rooms were nice and clean. Simple but current decor (not dated 90's like many). Very happy to accomodate our 2 year old in a portacot and even made sure the room we got had slightly more space.
Overall a very pleasant stay, would definetly stay again.

A very friendly, clean place to stay, spoilt by location so close to the main road north, that on arrival you are offered ear plugs. There is such a choice of places to stay in Napier, avoid all the ones on this stretch, unless you are a very heavy sleeper.
Also, not a good place for kids - no outdoor space at all.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was quite comfortable. The Hotel was just out of the main city centre a bit far to walk but very handy by car -Napier is a beatiful city! The location being on a main road in (with some heavy freight vehicles was the only real distraction from an otherwise pleasant stay -and the vegetation in front did provide more comfort from the road than I expected). The bed was thankfully firm and there was plenty of space.

My husband and I recently stayed in the Albatross Motel in Napier ( North Island N.Z.) for 3 nights. It was the best deal of our 2 month vacation. Very clean, big room, reasonably priced, and the staff were extremely helpful. Only a 10 minute walk from the Harbor and nice restuarants. A great pub is just 2 minutes away. The Estuary across the road is a lovely place to walk around. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone travelling in the Hawkes Bay region.
