The Bella Tuscany was very clean and the owner and wife were pleasant.

However, if you want something close to the activities of Napier, this is not the hotel. It's about a 10 to 15 minute drive into the city from the motel.

Once again, I felt the price was quite expensive for being off-season. We booked a queen bed studio room, which had just enough room for the two of us. However, I was a bit dissapointed that with an almost empty motel (only two other cars) we weren't given a bigger room for the night.

Overall, I think it's a nice place, but not for those that like to walk to dinner or attractions. It's also VERY far from the ocean.

We stayed at the Bella Tuscany for 3 nights in Dec 06. Facilities are good, it is clean and well managed by a very friendly helpful couple.

Convenient for all Napier and surrounding attractions.

We stayed at the Bella Tuscany for 2 nights in March while travelling round New Zealand. The rooms are really smart, very clean and nicely decorated with good parking facilities. We found the couple who run this establishment very friendly and helpful, advising us on various places to visit and recommending restaurants to eat at. It's a taxi ride away from the town centre but we did not find this a problem as the taxi's were prompt and the drivers were chatty. Napier is a pretty place to visit and there are some great pubs and places to eat. There is accommodation closer to the town centre but the Bella Tuscany is a really nice place to stay and is not overpriced.
