Spent two nights here - it is fresh and new accommodation right on the beach with nice cafes and fabulous restaurants (highly recommend Three Doors Up and a cafe on the main street here with an Italian chef attached to the accommodation).
The host was both pleasant and helpful.
Although this is the other side of the bay to the main strip of Napier this gives it the benefit of being quiet and has more of a village atmosphere. However, it would be hard to stay here without a car. The drive to the main part of town is only about 10 minutes, but to walk would take about 45 minutes and wouldn't really be a pleasant walk.
We had a really lovely time here - and would highly recommend it. We were also given sparkling wine and chocolates on arrival and these were YUM!
