A great motel - attractive gardens with a park like atmosphere around the units and plenty of room to enjoy the sun, have a swim and BBQ. Clean, modern and well maintained units. Special thanks to our hosts - Bev and Dean.

Quite agree with 'Beware Petit Studio - small isolated and no outlook'. Stayed January 2012 group booking made 6 months earlier, also told we could share a motel unit.

We found this hotel very nice. Suitable for adults and kids. We were meant to stay with them for 5 nights and we stayed 1 and it was pouring down and we were booked to go to splash planet. But with the weather the way it was we wanted to go home as we didnt want to be couped up in a hotel. This nice man said he would give us our money back for the nights we were going to be there. He didnt have to do this but he did. He was very nice. Respectful. Service was fabulas. It was clean. We travel alot and this is one of the best hotels i have been too!!! Thanks for a very nice and relaxing stay and we will definatly be back and i recomend this is anyone and everyone who is wanting to stay in napier!!!! Very affordable

This place has been in the same family's hands since the 1950's when it was built. The latest generation is carrying on the tradition of hosting and the property has been substantially refurbished along the way. We stayed in one of the ground floor units which faced the games room and washing room. There is a hint of 1950's camping ground about the place and I could imagine that it could get noisy in the Summer with the swimming pool and games room and lots of kids running round.

However, it was not whilst we were there and was in fact very quiet and we had a nice,relaxing stay. Our unit was a one bed with a separate bedroom and bathroom which all looked very new. Fresh, clean linen a basic kitchen which was missing a dishwasher and oven but where you could cook up a basic breakfast or microwave a ready made dinner. We spent very little time in the unit but it was pleasant to come back and be able to read the paper and look out at the gardens, which were very well established with some nice planting and trees and flowers and kept very tidy.

Friendly, helpful hosts and very reasonably priced I thought, so I would recommend and would return, out of season.

Would be an excellent spot for a family break in Summer, just mind the road for the little ones as there are no gates and the property is right on the main street, which is busy!
