I stayed here on a particularly cold night. Service is inobtrusive and friendly, making me feel welcome. The heater was sufficient to keep me warm after 30 mins or so, but it was one of the coldest nights for years. The rooms are large for a motel at this price, spa bath was nice to have and kitchen space is sufficient for an overnight or two. Plenty of eateries around and some pleasant walking. Good and prompt breakfast available.
Received a very warm welcome. Our studio apartment was spacious and very comfortable. Location is on the edge of town, not really within walking distance of centre but the drive in is easy and there is plenty of parking in town centre. Views over the yacht basin and plenty of bars and restaurants close by.
This was a nice place to stay good location and view but the service sucked.
We stayed in an apartment with 5 family/friends the light bulb in the toilet had blown as there was no window in there it was pitch black with the door closed and I didn't fancy sitting on the toilet with the door wide open! We asked for the bulb to be changed they finally turned up after 2/3 hours later and it was like we had asked them to travel to the end of the world for us and they let us know it. We also asked for additional towels and they told us they didn't have time to bring them to us and if we wanted them we would have to get them ourselves - great attitude when your paying over $250 a night.
We have stayed in many hotels over the years and this was the worst service and attitude I recall. Hopefully the staff change and the service improves - it needs too!
After travelling two weeks and sleeping on almost as many beds it was truely a delight to find one place where the bed gave us sleep without added complications. At first glance the Motel looks very ostentatious and we briefly looked around at other places coming back to this Motel out of need. It turned out to be the best priced best deal we have had on our holiday. The room was nicely presented with a good size TV, bathroom - with Spa Bath and well stocked kitchen. The free wireless internet was of good signal strength and the view from our room of the yachts was lovely. However ... the sounds coming from the occupant above us had us sure he was moving furniture and some other noise made us think there was an earthquake. When we rung reception they said they would look from outside the Office and see if they could see what the occupant was doing. At the time of departing I looked up from outside the Office to the room in question - and could not see anything from there .... hmmm - makes you wonder. As the balcony was continous on each floor, other guests thought nothing of coming down to our end to take photos of the view from in front of our room. That meant we had to keep the blinds drawn at times for privacy. There were plastic tables and chairs outside every second room and those who sat outside while they smoked and talked shared their experiences with you as their was no opening windows apart from those in the main sliding door. Yes we would consider staying there again as all in all we enjoyed our visit. No place is perfect - well I did not find one on our travels :0)
