“What a find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

A lovely welcome greeted us at this hotel. There is secure parking on site and the rooms are very well appointed. Our 'room' was more like a suite and had an excellent little kitchen and a double and twin beds in seperate rooms. We slept peacefully and then had a good continental breakfast served in the room. This place is not too far from the central downtown area and is within easy reach of the main Auckland sights. We would definately recommend it if staying in Auclnad - not least because the profits go to supporting the Cancer Society.

“Smartly designed apartment.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

We got a warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff at reception and enjoyed our three night stay in a very comfortable two bedroomed apartment. Bedrooms upstairs, along with a toilet and wash basin. Kitchen, lounge, shower and toilet downstairs. Lovely views over the city and within easy walking distance to free city link bus service, which is a great way to explore central Auckland. Would certainly stay here again.

“Spotlessly clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

Stayed here during the Rugby World Cup in September 2011. The lodge is something to do with the cancer society and used for patients and their families accommodation I believe, so it had the feel of a hospital about it, which I was more than fine about, but did slightly freak out my travelling companions!!! The room was very large, 2 storey, 2 bedroom, large living area, small balcony and was the cleanest room I have ever stayed in!!!
The lodge is located in a quiet area, but has excellent bus and train links to the city centre, and was easy walking distance to K Road, also we actually walked back from Eden Park after the rugby which wasn't too far!!!

“Clean rooms, quiet area, yet well connected by city buses”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

Stayed here while visiting NZ during the RWC 2011. Room was surprisingly big, ample space for 4 people (only 2 of us though). Rooms cleaned everyday and people working here are nice and friendly. :)

Lodge is located near a hospital (and is sponsored by the cancer society of NZ) and probably has guests like visiting doctors, patients etc.

Right opposite Domain park and the national museum (which by the way has a good collection of moari artifacts).

Not much going on around the lodge but it is only minutes away from New market shopping district.

Comfortable lodging at good prices.

“amazing for the price paid”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 March 2011

We were attending a family wedding at the Auckland museum and picked this small 'lodge' due to it's close proximity. In total we had 4 rooms of variety of configurations. We ( 2 adults / 2 kids ) stayed in a apartment ( 2 story ). Downstairs there was a lounge room / kitchen and bathroom ( with bath ). Upstairs 2 bedrooms and a toilet.
Kitchen - small fridge / hot plates / microwave.
bathroom - great deep bath , over bath shower. beautifully clean. lovely white towels.
Bedrooms - great linen.

Lovely bi fold doors that opened up onto a balcony.

A beautiful garden within the complex.
WIFI available.
check in /out easy
plenty of parking available ( secure )
Easy to get to bus / walk to newmarket etc.
Housekeeping were excellent !!!!

This complex is part ofthe cancer foundation therefore offices / services do run during the day.

my parents had a suite that had enough room for us all to meet at the end of a busy day. ( full kitchen and laundry ).

We paid $200NZ per night and were very impressed.
